What is it and what is it for?
MeliLax is a honey-based microenema that, with an evacuating action, induces a non-aggressive stimulus to activate defecation, in addition to exerting an important protective action on the rectal mucosa.
Constipation is a very common and often underestimated disorder that affects the entire population: children, adults and especially the elderly.
However, the balance of the intestine is essential for the health of the entire organism.
It is important to be able to evacuate the intestine with a product that respects the physiology of the body.
The MeliLax formula promotes evacuation by making stool easier to pass. Furthermore, thanks to its properties similar to those of mucus and the specific viscosity of its formulation, MeliLax protects the rectal mucosa during the passage of feces.
Thanks to these actions, together with the antioxidant properties of its components, it has the ability to protect the rectal mucosa and contributes to facilitating easier evacuation.
This protective action is especially important because the rectal mucosa, which is already very delicate, can easily become irritated in case of constipation due to friction with dry, hard feces.
MeliLax is indicated for the treatment of constipation even in the presence of particular conditions such as:
- anal fissures and hemorrhoids
- visceral hypersensitivity (such as irritable bowel syndrome)
It can also be used:
- during pregnancy and lactation
- by celiacs, since it does not contain gluten.
How to use?
- Open the microenema by removing the safety cannula cover:
- Hold the white round ring located on the bellows;
- With the other hand, bend the cannula cover until it breaks and completely separates the ring.
- Remove the cannula cover.
- Apply a few drops of product to the perianal area and gently introduce the cannula into the rectum.
- Completely compress the microenema and, once the application is finished, keep it pressed until the cannula is completely extracted, to prevent the product from being re-aspirated.

It also contains: hydroglyceric mixture, Lemon juice, Lavender essential oil.
Warnings and Contraindications
Do not exceed the recommended daily dose
Keep out of the sight and reach of children.
The microenema is disposable, therefore it should not be reused even if only half is administered, as in the case of infants.
Store at room temperature, away from heat sources and protected from light.
The expiration date refers to the unopened and properly preserved product.
Do not use in case of hypersensitivity or individual allergy to one or more components. In case of persistent constipation, it is important to consult a doctor to rule out other pathologies.
