Arkopharma Fucus Capsules is a food supplement specially designed for people who want to control their weight and maintain a feeling of satiety.
Fucus, also known as the sea oak, is a brown seaweed equipped with natural floats, very common on the European Atlantic coasts.
Under the name fucus, several species of algae from the Fucaceae family are known, of which Fucus vesiculosus is the most used.
Its major constituents are mainly 60% mucilageous polysaccharides. In the case of fucus, the main constituent is alginic acid (between 20-23%). An alginic acid that is capable of absorbing 200 to 300 times its weight in water.
Fucus also has fucoidin (between 12-18%), and also has abundant minerals in its composition: mainly iodine.
Satiety and laxative activity. This is because fucus swells in contact with water, producing a considerable increase in volume, so when ingested with plenty of liquid it induces a feeling of satiety. Furthermore, at the intestinal level, it has a mechanical laxative action.
The European Medicines Agency (EMA) recommends its traditional use as an adjuvant to low-calorie diets to help weight loss in overweight adults. It is also used in case of constipation.
How to use?
Take 2 capsules of Arkopharma Fucus Capsules a day, half an hour before meals, with a glass of water.
