¿ What should we consider this year?

• Vaccination against meningococcal serogroup B disease to the cohort of children born from July 1, 2019 will begin;
• Equitable access to vaccines is guaranteed and all serogroups that produce 95 percent of bacterial meningitis are covered;
• Guarantee us that the offer of a vaccine against Human Papillomavirus that includes 9 HPV oncogenic genotypes is improved.

These changes have occurred due to the appearance of new vaccines against different diseases. As well as new vaccines are incorporated (e.g. tetravalent conjugate vaccine against meningococcus A, C, W, Y at 12 years).

REMEMBER – that your pharmacy can administer and keep your vaccines. Vaccines should be carefully transported and preserved. Any improper handling or temperature change can cause a loss of potency and vaccine efficacy.

IDEAL– Ideally, buy the vaccine on the way to the vaccination center. Just before going to the appointment, having booked it in the pharmacy the previous days.

IMPORTANT – The Spanish Association of Pediatrics strongly discourages the purchase of vaccines online. You can also contact us by phone. Remember that we are here to advise you. Our priority is your health.

Finally, they just recognized the benefits of using a menstrual cup. Not only is it recognized by women who have used it but it has also been officially published by doctors and scientists in The Lancet – Public Health.

But … what is a menstrual cup?

Despite being still a very little known alternative, the menstrual cup is a container that is placed in the vagina during menstruation to deposit the menstrual flow.

And the best is yet to come …

In addition to being able to collect the menstrual flow up to 12 hours, you can collect three times more than a tampon and if it is well placed there will be no spillage.

Best of all, they have not forgotten any of us and in your pharmacy you can find different sizes!

For me this new product brings other benefits…

Since it only needs to be boiled in water to sterilize and reuse it; A single drink can last you ONE YEAR. This allows us to contribute our grain of sand to the environment since we will stop using products costly during our menstrual cycle.

The post MONTHLY CUP 2019 – WHAT IS IT AND BENEFITS? first appeared on Farmacia Pharmadeje.

You are not hallucinating.  It is not a typo. We also sell these two oils, both formulated with Monoï.

Today, we will briefly inform you about these products and, what benefits and risks have the use of coconut oil and carrot oil.

Why do we choose the Polynesian brand?

It is Natural oil with higher-quality properties. Coconut oil is originally from the Fiji Islands (Hawaii). There they are used to heal wounds of tattoos,  to prolong their tan, light their skin before any dance performance or moisturise after a long working day at sea.

What benefits do they have?

Coconut oil

• Rejuvenates the skin and strengthens it
• Protects your hair and moisturizes it.
• Cures skin disorders (e.g. dermatitis)
• Helps to heal (including tattoos)
• Hydrates your skin
• Improves your dental health

Carrot oil

• Prolongs your tan
• Promotes melanin production
• Ideal for massages
• Treat ulcers

What risks do these oils have?

• Do NOT apply carrot oil without first mixing it with coconut, olive or sunflower oil.
• Coconut or carrot oil does NOT protect from the sun
• NOT good for moisturizing the fatty face
• Do NOT include it in your diet. Although there are studies that say that coconut oil can increase good cholesterol, but it can also increase bad cholesterol.
• Its excess causes overweight
• Using it in high temperatures changes its composition and may adversely affect the body.
