What is it and what is it for?

Chlorhexidine Lacer Mouthwash serves as an adjuvant in the treatment of gingivitis and periodontitis.

Chlorhexidine is an effective broad-spectrum antiseptic against plaque microorganisms. Its action is rapid and maintains its effect for a long period of time, avoiding possible bacterial recolonization of the oral cavity. Chlorhexidine binds strongly to various oral surfaces, thus forming a sustained release system.

Chlorhexidine acts at different levels:

  • Eliminate the existing bacterial plaque structure.
  • Inhibits the adhesion of mucosal proteins.
  • Inhibits the formation of new bacterial plaque.
  • Destroys the microorganisms responsible for the formation of bacterial plaque.

It is indicated as an adjuvant in the treatment of gingivitis and periodontitis. Also in orthodontics, oral surgery (pre and post-operative) and implantology.

How to use?

Rinse your mouth twice a day with 15ml of undiluted Chlorhexidine Lacer Colutorio 0.12%, allowing the liquid to circulate through the oral cavity for a period of 1 min.

You should not rinse your mouth with water immediately after using them, nor eat any liquid or food until half an hour after application, as this may reduce the duration of the active ingredient in the mouth and, therefore, its effectiveness.
